Caledonian Trustees - Resources
Our resource page is here to help you access people and organisations that either assist Caledonian Trustees or provide information about pension schemes, legislation, taxation and best practice.
The Pensions Regulator is the UK regulator of work-based pension schemes. We work with trustees, employers, pension specialists and business advisers, giving guidance on what is expected of them.
We also have functions under legislation passed in 2008 and a statutory objective to maximise compliance with the employer duties under that legislation relating to automatic enrolment.
Our principal aim is to prevent problems from developing. We use our powers flexibly, reasonably and appropriately, with the aim of putting things right and keeping schemes, and employers on the right track for the long term.
The Pensions Advisory Service (TPAS) works to make pensions accessible and understandable for everyone. We provide independent and impartial information and guidance about pensions, free of charge, to members of the public.
We help with all pension matters covering workplace, personal and stakeholder schemes and also the State Pension. We answer general questions, help with specific queries and offer guidance for people with complaints about their private pension scheme.
TPAS is an independent organisation that is grant-aided by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). We have a workforce of paid pensions specialists, supported by hundreds of expert volunteer advisers across the UK, who have many years experience working in the pensions industry. They give their time and expertise for free to help others with their pensions.
